1 lb bulk Italian sausage
8 oz Skinner®® Lasagna
15 oz ricotta cheese
1 each egg, beaten
1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp sugar
  salt and ground black pepper, to taste
1 jar (24 oz.) pasta sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Cooking Directions:

1.  Preheat oven to 375º F. 

2.  Brown sausage; drain fat, and set aside. 

3.  Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Put drained strips in single layer on sheet of wax paper until ready to proceed with recipe.

4.  In a large bowl mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, parsley flakes, nutmeg, sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

5.  Pour 1 1/3 cups sauce in bottom of 9 x 13-inch dish, then a layer of pasta strips, 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture, mozzarella and sausage and another layer of pasta strips. Repeat layers ending with final 1 1/3 of sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

6.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
